We are excited to announce how Protens can be converted to UNIO at recurring “Nexus” events!

Protens are the energy source of the Unioverse. You, the faithful, have been diligently gathering them going all the way back to our collectibles system. Protens have and will always be collected for free, with active engagement being the fastest way to earn them. Play Hoverdrome, Proving Grounds and other Unioverse games to earn more.

UNIO, on the other hand, is the POWER currency of the Unioverse. Players will hoard UNIO, and gather into clans and factions, wielding their combined power to take over planets and other locations throughout the Unioverse.

How do you get UNIO? There are several ways, but chief among them are the Nexus Events. Players will always be the most valued contributors to the Unioverse, and Nexus Events will happen throughout the year providing the opportunity to exchange hard-earned Protens into UNIO.

Community members will visit our website during the Nexus Event and choose how many Protens to convert to UNIO. After the event concludes, users will then visit uniocoin.io to claim UNIO, paying only gas for the blockchain transaction. All community-collected UNIO will be on Base.

Here’s how a Nexus Events works:

Note the following:

• There is a total allocation of UNIO for each Nexus Event, taken from the community rewards allocation. 
• The UNIO amount will change between Nexus events, with the first event total being much larger than ongoing events.
• Each user is picking how many shares to purchase. At the end of the event, the total UNIO will be divided by the number of shares, and each user will get the appropriate amount of UNIO for the shares purchased. This means there is no guarantee of how many UNIO you are getting, but also, that everyone that participates is guaranteed to receive UNIO on a fair basis.
• Users can click on any number of offers shown, but each offer only once. 
• Each offer is progressively worse.
• Offers may change between Nexus events.
• Some offers may require a status to unlock. This status will be announced prior to the event, but (for example) might require holding an NFT, or a certain FAME level, or anything else that active community participants are likely to have completed. 
• The event will last until time runs out. It will be at least 24 hours long, to give everyone a good opportunity to participate. There is no particular benefit to showing up early to the event.
• A mystery conversion bonus will be granted at each event. We are not going to reveal how it works, but it will be a combination of participation in all aspects of the Unioverse and how it works will change for every event.

It is important to note that some Unioverse purchases and upgrades will require significant amounts of Protens. Since these are not transferable between accounts and there is no way to convert UNIO to Protens, only dedicated community members will be able to make these purchases. You should not assume that it’s a good idea to convert all your Protens to UNIO.
