WELCOME TO MY WEB PAGE AND THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF FRESHWATER MUSSEL BIODIVERSITY RESEARCH!

MY RESEARCH IS MOTIVATED BY THE Need FOR A MORE GEOGRAPHICALLY AND TAXONOMICALLY INCLUSIVE UNDERSTANDING OF GLOBAL FRESHWATER MUSSEL DIVERSITY AND EVOLUTION.  INTEGRATING international FIELDWORK, RIGOROUS PHYLOGENETIC METHODS, AND MUSEUM-BASED BIOINFORMATICS I SEEK TO GENERATE BIOLOGICALLY USEFUL classifications THAT CAN BE used TO ADDRESS EVOLUTIONARY PROCESSES, INTERPRET BIOGEOGRAPHIC PATTERNS, UNDERSTAND ECOLOGICAL INTERACTIONS, AND INFORM CONSERVATION.

I AM CURRENTLY A PHD STUDENT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA WITH A FELLOWSHIP TO STUDY AT THE FLORIDA MUSUEM OF NATURAL HISTORY IN DR. LARRY PAGE'S LAB
